Stepping into a Global Wellness Hub! Sri Panwa Phuket Partners with BDMS Wellness Clinic and Bangkok Hospital Phuket to Create a 6-Star Scientific Wellness Experience for the First Time in Thailand
Sri Panwa elevates health tourism by collaborating with BDMS Wellness Clinic and Bangkok Hospital Phuket, Thailand's preventive health center, continuing its commitment to position Thailand as a global Wellness Hub. The "Phuket Wellness Hub" project combines luxury relaxation with medical excellence, delivering comprehensive health care alongside a wellness tourism experience.

The trend of wellness tourism has become increasingly popular and is continuously growing worldwide, with projections that by 2027, the market value could reach $1.4 trillion. Thailand is renowned for its wellness tourism, attracting international visitors seeking health-related travel. In 2019, Thailand ranked 7th globally in wellness tourism, with a market value of nearly $17 billion, or over 610 billion baht, steadily recovering after the COVID-19 pandemic.

Moreover, the wellness tourism market in Thailand has grown by 36% from 2020 to 2022, indicating a significant number of high-potential tourists prioritizing health travel and increasing health expenditures in Thailand. With a vision of BDMS Wellness Clinic recognizing the opportunities in Thailand's wellness tourism, particularly in Phuket, a collaboration among three leading organizations—BDMS Wellness Clinic, Sri Panwa Phuket Hotel, and Bangkok Hospital Phuket—was established. An MOU signing ceremony took place on October 1, 2023, at Baba Space I & II, Sri Panwa Phuket Hotel, to create the most comprehensive and excellent scientific health center in Thailand.
Mr. Songkran Issara, CEO of Charn Issara Development Public Company Limited, stated, “Phuket is a destination for both Thai and international tourists, surrounded by convenience, including transportation, 5-star hotels, comprehensive services, and a public health system that meets international standards. Sri Panwa is a dream destination for both Thai and international tourists, with a continuous increase in visitors. The villa-style accommodations provide exceptional privacy for guests, along with ample space for various activities within the hotel, receiving excellent feedback from tourists. In our commitment to elevate tourism, Sri Panwa Phuket Hotel collaborates with BDMS Wellness Clinic and Bangkok Hospital Phuket, combining expertise from all parties to propel Thailand into a global Wellness Hub, offering a luxurious holistic relaxation experience for tourists worldwide, allowing them to rejuvenate and care for their health simultaneously.”
Dr. Tanupol Virulhakarn, President of BDMS Wellness Clinic and BDMS Wellness Resort, Bangkok Dusit Medical Services Public Company Limited, stated, “With the increasing number of high-potential tourists in Phuket last year, BDMS Wellness Clinic recognized the potential of Phuket in the growth of the health tourism industry. We have partnered with two key partners, Sri Panwa Phuket, a 6-star hotel-resort, and Bangkok Hospital Phuket, to combine the strengths and expertise of all three organizations to provide a comprehensive health experience that encompasses the body, mind, and spirit, integrating medical excellence and personalized health care under the supervision of BDMS Wellness Clinic with the luxurious and tranquil relaxation of Sri Panwa, for complete preventive health care and restoration of bodily integrity, thus helping elevate Phuket to become a leading health destination in Southeast Asia.”
Dr. Narin Boonjongjaroen, President of Bangkok Hospital Group 6, commented on this collaboration, “For the past 30 years, Bangkok Hospital Phuket has continuously pursued its core mission of promoting health and well-being for the community in Phuket and the Andaman region by providing comprehensive medical services that meet international standards to millions of Thai citizens and tourists visiting Phuket each year. However, good health does not come solely from treatment but must start with prevention. Signing this collaboration with BDMS Wellness Clinic and Sri Panwa Phuket is a positive sign that will help elevate health care for the community and is a significant step in developing Phuket into a global Wellness Tourism hub and a sustainable quality health tourism destination.”

The collaboration among these three leading organizations not only creates a new definition of comprehensive health care through the integration of health sciences and the art of relaxation for holistic body and mind rejuvenation but also propels Thailand towards becoming a true Wellness Destination of the World, aligning with the government’s policy “Ignite Thailand: Power Up, United Thailand as One” aimed at driving Thailand’s health tourism industry. Additionally, it strengthens BDMS Wellness Clinic's position as a leader in health and wellness tourism in the Andaman economic region, demonstrating BDMS Wellness Clinic's commitment to delivering sustainable good health to people worldwide.
